Welcome to Ms. Ivan's Art Studio!
Encore Mission:
Hello, Belmont Community! I am Ms. Ivan, your Art Teacher, here at Belmont Elementary, home of the Belmont Eagles! I am more than thrilled to have you in the art studio to learn and grow as artists!
My undergraduate degree in Art History is from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts. Before getting into teaching, I spent some quality time working for the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. and at various museums and galleries in Richmond, VA. I’ve had the honor of working with world renowned artists and art works.
I am very enthusiastic about sharing my art experiences from both here and abroad with my young students and anyone else who would want to listen. Most importantly, I am happy to join and make a contribution in anyway possible to the Belmont community. The essence of art itself is making a cultural connection to the world around us. I am proud to be apart of the Belmont “world," and I'll see you in the art studio on Encore Days 1,2,3.
Students, bring your creativity, positive attitude, and immagination with you as we work on creating 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional amazing artwork using a variety of media. We'll be working with clay, recycled materials, paint, oil pastels, water colors, pen and ink, graphite, and many more artistic media for you to explore and grow as artists. We'll also be inspired by discovering and investigating art history's famous artists, their techniques and artworks, and various cultures' art and architecture around the world!
